Sleek and magnificent, the Black Mount will be completed during my upcoming residency in Jingdezhen, Jiangxi, China, from April 15th to May 8th, 2026.
The work will be fired in a traditional wood-burning kiln at a temperature range of 1280–1330°C, with the expert guidance of a local wood-firing master. Crafted from fine black stoneware, the finished piece will reveal a refined gunmetal hue—deep, lustrous, and exquisitely elegant.
